Celebrating
together Sir Sayed Day, Eid and Diwali

This was a unique
assembly of more than 400 hundred members of Aligarh Muslim University
Alumni Association, (UK) meeting in London to celebrate a unique occasion.
For the first time they celebrated the Eid and Diwali together
and paid homage to Sir Sayed Ahmed Khan who devoted his life
spread modern and scientific education among the Muslims of
India. |

jokes and the joyful memories of laughter and lighter moments of life in Aligarh

finest Ghazal singer Mamta Gupta |
The
audience were then treated to the melodious
delights of ghazals of Jazbi and Majaz, Aligarh's
renowned Urdu poets. The day culminated
with the ghazals presented by one of Britain's finest
Ghazal singers Mamta Gupta of the BBC Hindi Service.
