How can I send or file my stories?

There are three ways to send your reports to Radio2All.

1.    Email editor@historytalking.com to prearrange a recording time and the phone number. Then file your report on telephone by calling to London. It’s not as expansive as you think. (Please see next question)

2.   You can also record your report at your home on your computer and save this recording in MP3 format and email it as an attachment to the editor@historytalking.com. Remember, the audio files are fairly large and it may take some time to email them.

3.   You can also post your recordings to London on a normal cassette or CD. Address: Radio2All, 1Stucley Road, Osterley, Middlesex, TW5 0TN, UK.

How much does it cost to telephone from India to London?

Not very much. Ordinary landline calls from India cost around Rs.8 per minute. You can also ring through some of the Cyber Cafes, where it costs around Rs.5 per minute. Calls from other countries may be cheaper then this.

If prearranged, a five-minute long programme can be filed in as little as 6-7 minutes.

Is there any cheaper way to file the stories?

Yes there is. You can call London virtually free through VOIP or Internet telephony. These calls can only be made through an Internet connected PC to PC. One of the best programmes for free worldwide telephone calls is: www.skype.com

How can I record radio programmes at my home computer?

You will need a specialised audio recording programme. Some of them are available free to be downloaded. We will recommend a programme called Wavepad. It’s a very simple audio programme recorder and editor and most radio professionals will be able to use it with minimum effort.
