The Great Indian Desert of Rajasthan

 Kiran Soni Gupta, the divisional commissioner of Jaipur, brought a remarkable exhibition of her paintings to Nehru Gallery London. ““The Great Indian Desert" exhibition presented some extraordinary images and vibrant colours of Rajasthan. But it was not about princes and palaces. Dominant in her images were the ordinary women of Rajsathan, in full colour and poise with a wonderful desert backdrop. The exhibition, showcasing 70 of her works, was inaugurated by Lord Swraj Paul. In an interview with Radio NRI fm editor Vijay Rana Kiran Soni Gupta explains the range of her work.
