Baasi bhaat mein khuda-ka saajha
Dinanath manages to get a job after
being unemployed for over a year. One fine evening
his boss gives him an unexpected raise and asks
him to make certain fake ledger entries. Very
unwillingly Dinanath gets talked into perpetrating
what amounts to a fraud. A self-proclaimed
atheist, he starts losing sleep over this. As it
happens, his infant son falls sick. After that,
Dinanath himself is taken ill. His uneasy
conscience tells him that this is the price he
must pay for his moral lapse… Listen on, Munshi

Premchand:
Contribution to Indian cinema

A
scene from Mill Mazdoor, a film written by Premchand |
Premchand was one of the first writers invited to
write stories for Bollywood films. But after writing
for one film he realised that Bollywood was not the
place for him. A frustrated Premchand returned
to Allahabad. Later many filmmakers including Satyajit

Ajit Kumar remembers Harivansh
Rai Bachchan
|
|
Renowned
Hindi writer Ajit Kumar remembers the great poet
Harvansh Rai Bachchan. As one of his dearest disciples,
Ajit Kumar gives us some rare glimpses of the
poet's life. He says Bachchan was a strict teacher,
Jawahrlal Nehru's Hindi adviser and of course a great
poet. And very few of us know that Harivansh Rai and
Teji Bachchan were disciplined and organised
parents and their household was a typical Allahabadi Sangam of tradition and modernity, that later
reflected in many of the films and songs of their son
Amitabh Bachchan. History Talking.com presents the life
story of Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
